Grace Nova Counseling: Support Group for Parents of Adopted and Foster Children

Wednesdays beginning March 1 for six weeks.

Cost: *There is a discounted cost of $25/individual per session for Project Belong families! Original price is $75/individual.

This psycho-education and processing group will provide attachment-focused parenting skills training and support for families with adoption and foster care in their story. They will use The Connected Child by Karyn Purvis and Traumaplay to introduce resources and training on how to enhance the attachment bond and de-escalate big behaviors.

Topics include:
The importance of attachment // Understanding your child's attachment history // Disarming the fear response with felt safety // Learning to be a “good boss” // Working with defiance // The importance of nurture // Strategies to improve family life balance // Handling setbacks // Healing yourself to heal your child
