CASA Volunteer

  • Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are volunteers designated by a judge to work in the best interests of children who have been victimized by abuse or neglect

  • SCAN of Northern Virginia offers a CASA program in both Alexandria and Arlington. To learn more, visit the SCAN website.

Family Homeless Shelter Volunteer

  • Help ensure smooth operation of the shelter and respond to the daily needs of the shelter (at least 2 shifts a month).

  • This opportunity is through the Doorways organization whose mission is to serve Arlington residents impacted by homelessness, domestic violence, and sexual assault. To learn more, click HERE.

Childcare Volunteer

  • Assist with vulnerable families by providing childcare at Doorways events, such as weekly support groups, parenting classes, and monthly dinner programs (at least 2 shifts a month). To learn more, click HERE.
